Hanamkonda: In a heartbreaking incident, a software engineer lost his life while attempting to protect his mobile phone from miscreants on a moving train. The incident occurred on the Shatavahana Express train near Bibinagar. According to sources, the deceased has been identified as Srikanth, a 25-year-old resident of Nerella village in Kamalapur Mandal, Hanamkonda district. Srikanth, who hailed from a farming family, had overcome his humble beginnings to become a successful software engineer. His parents, Muppu Ramulu and Dhanamma, had worked tirelessly to provide education for their two children, making Srikanth's journey even more remarkable. Srikanth, employed with Hyderabad's prominent tech giant Infosys, was traveling from Secunderabad to Kazipet on the Satavahana Express last Wednesday to celebrate the Ekadasi festival with his family members. Due to the festival rush, the train was unusually crowded, forcing Srikanth to stand near the door.
