Hyderabad: In a tragic incident on Tuesday night, two transgender individuals, identified as Riyaz alias Sofia and Yousuf alias Dolly, were mercilessly attacked and killed by a group of individuals in Tappachabutra. The victims, residents of Jhirra in Tappachabutra, were riding on a scooter around 1 a.m when they were ambushed at Daibagh area. The assailants assaulted them with stones and knives, resulting in their immediate death. DCP (southwest) Kiran Khare, who arrived at the crime scene shortly after the incident, described the attack as brutal. The police have detained several suspects in connection with the murder and are currently investigating all possible angles, including the suspicion of an illicit affair as a potential motive.
