Over the past six months, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has been actively working to expand its footprint in Maharashtra. While the significant political players in the western state currently appear unperturbed, there is a potential threat of vote bank erosion. Inside reports suggest that CM KCR may contest as a Member of Parliament from either Nanded or Nagpur in Maharashtra. These two places constitute much population of Telugu community. This strategic move is anticipated to reinforce the BRS party's presence in another state and elevate KCR's recognition at the national level. The parliamentary elections are expected to take place in May 2024, following the Assembly election in Telangana. Furthermore, reports indicate that BRS is planning an aggressive electoral strategy, intending to contest all 288 seats of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.
