Vijayawada: In a tragic incident, a Garuda RTC bus collided with a lorry on the Chillakallu National Highway in Jaggayyapeta Mandal of the NTR district, leaving 15 passengers injured and the bus driver trapped in the cabin. The accident occurred when the bus collided with the lorry from behind, while en route to Hyderabad from Vijayawada. According to sources, more than 15 people travelling in the bus were seriously injured in the incident. The driver was stuck in the cabin, prompting the police to rush to the spot and rescue him. The injured passengers were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The cause of the accident is yet to be determined, and investigations are currently underway.
