Devotees visiting the Simhachala Kshetra for the annual Simhadri Appanna Chandanotsavam faced severe inconvenience today. The authorities allegedly failed to make adequate arrangements despite the large number of devotees present. VIPs were given priority over ordinary devotees, leading to widespread anger and frustration. Swaroopanandendra Swami ji also expressed his displeasure over the matter. In response, TDP chief and the former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu criticized the government for causing hardship to the devotees of Appanna. He accused the government of neglecting its responsibilities towards the holy shrines and turning them into dispute centers.
