Sudha Murty, an author, philanthropist, and the wife of Infosys founder Narayana Murty was presented with the Padma Bhushan award by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday. The award was given to recognize her social work. Akshata, the daughter of Sudha Murthy and wife of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, was spotted seated in the front row alongside External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and other esteemed guests at the opulent Durbar Hall of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. After receiving the award, Sudha Murty expressed her gratitude by saying, "I dedicate this award to the people of India. My hope is that this recognition will inspire the younger generation to pursue social welfare as a calling. It is essential for the continued progress of our great nation. I firmly believe that the generosity of a few can bring hope to millions."
