A case has been registered against Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu and seven other TDP leaders at Bikkavolu police station in East Godavari district. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Bhaktavatsalam lodged a complaint with the police, alleging that the roadshow held by Chandrababu Naidu was in violation of rules and involved the use of abusive language. Following the complaint by the DSP, the police registered a case against Chandrababu and the other TDP leaders. According to reports, tension prevailed in the combined East Godavari district during Chandrababu's visit on the previous day. The police stopped Chandrababu's roadshow at Balabhadrapuram, as he did not have permission to hold it. The police then blocked Chandrababu's convoy on the road. Despite the police intervention, Chandrababu got down from his vehicle and walked for 7 km to reach Anaparthi.
