East Godavari: Police have denied Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu's request for a public meeting in Anaparthi, East Godavari, according to reports. Despite having received permission from the district Collector and SP the day before, police issued notices cancelling the permission on the day of the meeting, citing the area's busy nature and cannot accommodate more than 5,000 people. TDP cadres have expressed frustration and accused police of acting on orders from the state government. Naidu has been touring the East Godavari district for two days, meeting with the public to discuss their problems and receiving significant support.
