IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao recently invited members of the American India Foundation (AIF) and industry representatives to collaborate with the Telangana government in addressing three principal needs of the people: education, public health, and livelihoods. He emphasized the need to focus on nurturing the young population and to help India become a first-world nation. During the inauguration of the Hyderabad chapter of AIF India, the minister shared the deep ties between the US and India, in terms of people, culture, entrepreneurship, and philanthropic activities. He also mentioned that Telugus from both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh were performing well in different sectors in the US, while the US Consulate in Hyderabad was issuing the highest number of student visas worldwide.
