Jharkhand: At least 14 people have died and several are injured after a fire erupted in a multi-story building in Dhanbad, Jharkhand on Tuesday evening. The fire was caused by an LPG cylinder explosion on the second floor of Ashirwad tower near Joda Fatak. Local police and fire brigade have launched a rescue operation and have so far rescued 6 bodies. It is said that 10 women and three children were killed in the incident. The fire broke out on the third floor and quickly spread to the third, fourth, and fifth floors. The injured have been admitted to the Dhanbad medical college. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Some local residents claim that there was a wedding ceremony happening in the building when the fire started.
