Many foreigners, including a large number of Indians, have found employment at these companies, with many earning salaries in the lakhs. However, the current economic recession has caused a significant shift in the industry. IT companies are struggling to maintain profits and secure new projects, leading to cost-cutting measures such as layoffs. Unfortunately, a disproportionate number of these layoffs are impacting Indian employees.
