Prominent Producer Dil Raju said it is the three years hard work of the director Gunasekhar coming up with the project in Shaakuntalam movie. Speaking at the trailer launch of the film on Monday, Dil Raju said the lead actor to perform the title role was challenging. However, he said after a lot of discussion with Samantha and to convince her with the visualisation of her character, she was finally agreed. The producer said that in the film, Gunasekhar's daughter is one of the producers along with him. He has expressed confidence that the movie will be appreciated and added that for the first time, their movie is going to release in five languages of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and in Hindi. Dil Raju has lauded the performance of Samantha stating that her emotional journey in the film is beautiful and superb.
