Hyderabad: Heavy rains lashed several areas of Hyderabad on Saturday evening and many low-lying areas, roads were inundated with floodwaters. Heavy traffic congestion took place across the city and caused severe trouble to the commuters. As per the reports, Ameerpet, SR Nagar, Sanathnagar, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Serilingampally, Niazampet, Moosapet, Rajendranagar, Chandanagar, Mehidipatnam and many areas received heavy rainfalls. Shakipet received the highest 11.7 cm of rain. India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a yellow alert to the city for both Sunday and Monday. Officials are requesting the people to step out of their houses if necessary only.
