Amaravati, May 18: The Andhra Pradesh government on Tuesday night issued a G.O. lifting suspension of senior IPS officer A.B. Venkateswara Rao and asked him to report in the General Administration Department (GAD). Rao met Chief Secretary (CS) Sameer Sharma three times after the Supreme Court gave orders to the CS to reinstate him in service. The CS mentioned in G.O. that he will be considered in service from February 8. But, it is not clear as to whether IPS officer will be given posting. He got job his back after two-year-long legal battle with the YSRCP government.
