On Tuesday, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) celebrated its 40th anniversary.of party formation. Party Chief Chandrababu Naidu's son and party general secretary Nara Lokesh addressed a large gathering of party cadre at Mangalagiri today on the occasion of the party's 40th anniversary of establishment (March 29). He has read the diary of political activities during the regime of late NTR, the TDP's founder. He has praised former CM NTR for his social contribution to the downtrodden and other backward people. He emphasised how the present party president, former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, has sustained social welfare programmes, developed Hyderabad, and focused on Amaravati and the other 13 districts of the state. 'I brought several IT and pharmaceutical firms to Visakhapatnam,' Nara Lokesh said. He lashed out at CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, claiming that his electoral pledge to prohibit liquor could not be fulfilled.
