Chennai: An IPS officer RV Ramya Bharati from the 2008 batch is on the news headlines after she went for a night patrol on cycle and shocked the patrol force. RV Ramya Bharati working as Joint Commissioner north of Chennai. According to the reports, RV Ramya accompanied by her personal security and took her night ride from 2.45 am to 4.15 am and travelled around nine kilometers in north Chennai on a cycle and shocked the police officers by inspecting them. The video went viral on social media and Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin congratulated her through Twitter handle. He tweeted as "Congratulations to Ramya Bharathi! DGP aims to reduce violence against women and ensure the safety of women. I have ordered them."
