A flag hoisting ceremony marked the beginning of an important meeting attended by top party leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and several senior members. Except for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, all members of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) have convened for this meeting. The focus of the discussions will be on shaping the party's strategy for the upcoming assembly elections in five states, including Telangana, as well as preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. On Sunday, the CWC will convene an extended meeting with all Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) presidents and Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leaders to further deliberate on the party's future plans. The meeting in Hyderabad marks the inaugural gathering of the reconstituted Congress Working Committee, the highest decision-making body of the party, now under the leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge. The discussions aim to set the stage for Congress's approach to the upcoming assembly elections across the five states.
