Nidadavolu: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan proudly announced that the Kapu Nestam initiative has benefitted a remarkable 4 lakh women. This scheme, designed to support economically disadvantaged women, has been consistently running for four years, with a substantial sum of 2,029 crore rupees disbursed to beneficiaries' accounts. Addressing the fund release event for YSR Kapu Nestham in Nidadavolu, CM Jagan revealed that a staggering 536 crore rupees were currently being deposited into the accounts of beneficiaries, a historic endeavor never before undertaken by any previous government in the state. Furthermore, CM Jagan emphasized his commitment to the Kapu community's welfare by ensuring a 9.5 percent representation for them in the event of government job opportunities. He highlighted the inclusivity of his administration by appointing a Deputy Chief Minister from the Kapu community in both of his cabinets and extending preferential treatment to Kapus in nominated positions.
