Thane: Officials have reported that a tragic incident occurred on Sunday evening in the Balkum area of Thane city, Maharashtra, where a construction lift in a 40-story building under construction collapsed, resulting in the loss of seven lives. On Monday, the Thane Municipal Corporation officially identified the deceased individuals as Mahendra Chaupal (32), Rupesh Kumar Das (21), Haroon Shaikh (47), Mithlesh (35), Karidas (38), and Sunil Kumar Das (21). The identity of the seventh victim remains unknown, as stated by the officials. Initially, reports had indicated that five individuals had lost their lives in the accident.
