Rajahmundry: In recognition of his status as the former chief minister and leader of the opposition, the court has issued directives for special accommodations to be provided to Chandrababu during his incarceration. These instructions include the allocation of a dedicated room within the jail premises, along with the assurance of sufficient security measures. Furthermore, the court has mandated the provision of necessary medications, medical care, and permission for him to receive home-cooked meals. Chandrababu's legal representatives had sought a modification of his remand to house arrest, but the ACB court declined this request. Nevertheless, the court has upheld the principle of affording special privileges to Chandrababu, given his past role as a former chief minister and opposition leader. In accordance with this decision, the Rajahmundry Jail authorities have been directed to facilitate the provision of special food from his home and ensure the fulfillment of these special arrangements.
