Vijayawada: The arrest of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu in Nandyala has triggered a division within the ranks of the party cross the state, with differing opinions on the matter. In response to the situation, authorities have taken precautionary measures, including placing some TDP leaders under house arrest and relocating others to police stations. Notably, former minister Devineni Uma was among those taken into custody and transported to the Vijayawada Bhavanipuram Police Station. Devineni Uma expressed strong condemnation of Chandrababu Naidu's arrest and alleged that these actions, including illegal house arrests, were being carried out under the supervision of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy in Tadepalli. Uma emphasized that this marked the first instance in the state's history where TDP leaders had been detained in such large numbers, attributing the situation to Sajjala's influence. Reports indicate that the concerns over Chandrababu's arrest are not limited to TDP activists but also extend to the general public. Uma criticized the police for what he deemed
