The decision, put forth by the school education department, entails a strict rule that students are not allowed to carry mobile phones with them when they come to school. Equally noteworthy, teachers are also prohibited from utilizing mobile phones while conducting classes. In order to comply with this directive, teachers must hand over their mobile devices to the headmaster prior to entering the classrooms. According to officials, this action has been initiated in alignment with the guidelines of the Global Education Monitoring Report issued by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).
