A shocking incident occurred during a campaign for a by-election in the Ghosi assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh's Mau district. A young individual threw ink at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Dara Singh Chauhan while he was engaging in his campaign activities near Adri village. The incident was captured on video and circulated on social media platforms. The incident took place as Chauhan was being welcomed by BJP workers in the Thana Sarai Lakhanshi area. The ink splashed on Chauhan's face, momentarily affecting his vision and causing a disturbance. Chauhan's security team acted quickly to ensure his safety and apprehend the person responsible for the ink attack. Identified as Monu Yadav, the accused reportedly threw the ink during a campaign event in Adri Chatti after Chauhan's participation in a public meeting at a local college in Kopaganj block. Despite the presence of supporters and security personnel, the incident led to chaos, with the individual managing to escape from the scene.
