Starting from July 28, the Andhra Pradesh State Transport Department will stop issuing printed driving licenses and RC cards. Instead, they're moving to an all-digital system, available on DigiLocker/M-Parivahan apps. This shift is part of an effort to create a more user-friendly department and improve governance. For those who don't use smartphones, printed copies of these digital documents are acceptable. Earlier, people had to pay Rs 235 (including postal charges) for each card. Now, these digital versions are free. If someone has paid for a physical card but hasn't received it, they'll get it in the mail. For on-road checks by officials, these digital documents will be accepted.
