Palakollu MLA Nimmala Ramanaidu has taken a novel approach to protest against the delay in distributing the government-promised 2000 rupees compensation to flood victims. Residents of the Lanka villages in Yalamanchili mandal, West Godavari district, have commenced a demonstration to voice their discontent. Expressing frustration, Nimmala Ramanaidu highlighted the absence of compensation for flood-stricken areas like Kanakayalanka and Pedalanka villages. The flood victims have resorted to a hunger protest, emphasizing their plight by rhythmically striking empty plates with spatulas. This innovative form of protest aims to bring attention to the grievance of the flood victims who are still awaiting the compensation they were promised.
