Megastar Chiranjeevi has voiced his concerns over the Andhra Pradesh government's approach towards the film industry. Speaking at the Waltair Veerayya's 200-day event, he compared the government's actions to using excessive force, likening it to a powerful weapon on a small target. The Telugu film industry and the Andhra Pradesh government have had disagreements recently. This stems from the government's plans to control movie ticket prices and set shooting restrictions. The government's selectivity in approving ticket price hikes has also frustrated filmmakers. Although Chiranjeevi usually avoids confrontations with the government, he expressed his disappointment this time. He mentioned that the government should prioritize more pressing issues like state development, job creation, and poverty reduction instead of targeting the film industry.
