Recently, actor, director, and social activist Renu Desai, along with other celebrities, took a stand against a marine park proposed by the Telangana government. They expressed their concern through a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed in court, arguing the park could lead to significant environmental damage. The government of Telangana has started to develop an Aqua Park in Kotwal Guda, intending to create the largest such park in the country. Despite the potential for entertainment, identity, or development, several Tollywood personalities have raised objections. These include Renu Desai, director Sridivya, director Shashikiran Thikka, actress Sada, and others. Their primary concern, expressed through the PIL, is that the Aqua Park might pose a considerable threat to the surrounding environment.
