In Pune's Bhavdhan area, a woman and a minor boy had a harrowing experience when they narrowly escaped a potential accident. After stepping out of an elevator on the 10th floor of a building, the elevator unexpectedly plummeted into the duct pit. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, was captured by a CCTV camera inside the elevator, revealing how the duo managed to evade the mishap at the last moment. Following the incident, the builder, his partner, and the agency responsible for maintaining the building were booked by the Hinjewadi police on charges of negligence under sections 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code. The complaint was filed by Bharat Choudhari, a resident of the building, whose wife and 11-year-old son were the ones who narrowly escaped the incident.
