In Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district, a massive fish, believed to be a Blue Whale, has been found washed ashore off the Bay of Bengal. The lifeless creature was discovered on Meghavaram beach in Santhabommali mandal. Local fishermen were astonished, as this type of fish is rarely seen in these waters. They speculate that the fish may have died after straying into shallow waters. Measuring about 25 feet in length and weighing around five tonnes, the Blue Whale is known as the largest animal on Earth. A large crowd from nearby villages gathered at the beach to witness the extraordinary sight. Curious onlookers couldn't resist taking selfies with the colossal creature. In 2021, some fishermen had rescued a shark entangled in shore fishing nets on Tantadi beach in Visakhapatnam. The officials later identified it as a whale shark. With the joint efforts of the forest department, fishermen, and wildlife conservationists, the whale shark was successfully guided back into the sea.
