Amaravati: On Friday, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur was sworn in as the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court. State Governor S. Abdul Nazeer administered the oath to Justice Thakur, making him the sixth Chief Justice of the high court. Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, cabinet members, leader of the opposition N. Chandrababu Nadu, high court judges, and other senior officials attended the ceremony. The Central government appointed Justice Thakur, a judge of the Bombay High Court, as the Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court. He succeeded Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra, who was elevated to the Supreme Court.
