The court, acting independently, has urged both the federal and state governments to act right away. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud expressed his concern about the situation and highlighted that the Supreme Court would step in if the government failed to act quickly. He declared, "Using women as weapons of violence is totally unacceptable."
