When participating in a government outreach event dubbed "Gadapa Gadapa Ku Mana Prabutvam," YSRCP MLA Thippeswamy encountered fierce criticism. Thippeswamy was visiting households in Amarapuram village, which is a part of the Satya Sai district, when the incident happened. Local ladies who were angry about the shoddy state of the infrastructure in their village protested against him. These women expressed their dissatisfaction with the poor condition of the roads, which were littered with potholes, and the inadequate sewage system. Waste was spilling onto the streets as a result of the inadequate sewage infrastructure, posing a health risk. However, Thippeswamy got into an argument with the women rather than responding to their issues. He recommended that responsibility for these problems should fall on the local Sarpanch, or village chief. Inferring that their complaints should be directed towards him instead, he questioned the women about their silence toward the Sarpanch.
