Vijayawada: TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh voiced concerns to the state governor, Justice Abdul Nazir, about the prevalence of cannabis in Andhra Pradesh. Lokesh met with the governor today at Raj Bhavan and presented a DRI report indicating AP as a major player in the country's drug supply. Lokesh emphasized that the origins of any discovered cannabis in the country can often be traced back to AP, suggesting that the state is transforming into a hub for drug activity. His complaint highlighted that illicit hawala transactions are negatively affecting the state's economy, and called for a comprehensive investigation and consequent action against those accountable. Later, Lokesh attributed the state's drug supply issues to the involvement of YCP leaders. He claimed that these leaders were implicated in drug production and smuggling activities. Lokesh further noted that there has been a significant increase in drug-related incidents involving young people over the past four years, which is having a severe detrimental effect
