Leaders and activists from Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) rallied across the state on Wednesday, voicing their objections to comments made by TPCC Chief Revanth Reddy suggesting a limit on power supply for farmers. In a display of their disagreement with Reddy's stance, party members statewide burned effigies of the Congress, standing in support of Telangana's policy of uninterrupted 24-hour electricity provision to farmers. BRS MLC Kavitha Kalvakuntla, who joined in the widespread protests, posed a question to Rahul Gandhi, seeking to understand the Congress party's issue with providing farmers free round-the-clock electricity. Earlier on Tuesday, the working president of BRS, KT Rama Rao, had issued a call for protests across the state.
