Nashik: In a tragic incident early Wednesday morning, a state transport bus carrying numerous passengers, including tourists and pilgrims on their way to the revered Saptashrungi Temple, careened off the road and plunged into a gorge near the Saptashrungi hills. The accident resulted in the loss of one life, while 25 other passengers sustained injuries. The ill-fated Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) bus was navigating a section near the Ganpati Point on the hilly road when the catastrophe unfolded. Emergency response teams swiftly arrived at the scene and promptly transported the injured passengers to nearby public hospitals for immediate medical attention, as confirmed by an MSRTC spokesperson. Following the incident, Guardian Minister Dadaji Bhuse has directed the local administration to extend full assistance and support to the victims and their families.
