Huzurabad: The BJP's former Telangana president, Bandi Sanjay, and BRS MLC Padi Kaushik Reddy, who unexpectedly attended the last rites of an associate who died suddenly, have become the talk of the town. The incident took place in Huzurabad. BRS leader Nandagiri Mahender Reddy, who died of a heart attack, was cremated yesterday. Bandi Sanjay and Kaushik Reddy not only attended the funeral, but also carried the coffin on their shoulders. Before joining the BRS, Mahender Reddy had worked in ABVP and BJP for about two decades. He was close to Bandi Sanjay. His association with Kaushik Reddy increased after he joined the BRS during the 2021 Huzurabad by-election. Despite Bandi Sanjay and Kaushik separately attending his last rites yesterday, both jointly performed the mourning rituals.
