Andhra Pradesh's Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, recently defended his government's implementation of the Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) scheme over the past four years. The statement came after the release of funds earmarked for the Jagananna Amma Vodi welfare scheme. The Chief Minister also launched a scathing critique against opposition parties, with former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in his crosshairs. Reddy charged the previous Telugu Desam Party (TDP) administration with misappropriation of wealth, accusing them of exploiting state resources solely for personal gain. In addition to these allegations, YS Jagan took aim at Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, suggesting a lack of stability. He claimed that Pawan Kalyan remained silent throughout the TDP's tenure, failing to voice any criticism against the then-governing party. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy further censured Pawan Kalyan for allegedly resorting to provocative comments.
