Telugu Desam politburo member Varla Ramaiah has openly questioned the Union Home Ministry's silence on the alleged abduction of an MP's family members. He has expressed grave concerns over the inaction and lack of response from the Lok Sabha Secretariat regarding the unsettling incident. Drawing attention to an advertisement worth INR 1.50 crore given to one of the magazines, Ramaiah speculated that such a substantial expenditure might have been the result of intense threats faced by the MP. In light of the situation's gravity, Ramaiah emphasized the need for a more comprehensive investigation than what the local police could potentially offer. Consequently, he strongly advocated for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to take charge of the case.
