In an unexpected turn of events, Dornakal MLA Redya Nayak faced protests in the Mahabubabad district. Despite his presence at the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies of various developmental projects in Boyapalem and Galivarigudem villages of Maripeda mandal, as well as in Tanda, discontent brewed among the locals. Redya Nayak partook in the traditional Bathukamma festival and even joined the celebratory dances with women during a rally. However, the cheerful atmosphere took a different turn post the celebrations. Villagers from Boyapalem voiced their dissatisfaction, alleging that their concerns remain unaddressed. A demonstration ensued, with locals chanting 'Go Back', much to the surprise of BRS leaders present at the event. Later, at a meeting, Redya Nayak defended his work in the Dornakal constituency, stating that he had facilitated development in the villages across multiple sectors. In light of the unexpected protests, he implored everyone to stand by the Government of Telangana, seemingly undeterred by the public outcry.
