The political party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), will henceforth be recognized as Bharat Rashtra Samithi in the Lok Sabha, according to an official circular. The party's name change was initiated by the TRS president, who rebranded the party as Bharat Rashtra Samithi in October of the previous year. The Lok Sabha Secretariat's circular stated, "The Competent Authority approved the change of the party name from Telangana Rashtra Samithi to Bharat Rashtra Samithi on 13th June 2023." TRS president and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had publicly announced this name change on October 5 of the previous year. Subsequently, the Election Commission greenlit the proposal on December 8. The new party name had already gained acceptance in the Rajya Sabha prior to this recent approval by the Lok Sabha.
