Hyderabad: Income Tax (IT) searches have been initiated at the residences of BRS MLA Paila Shekhar Reddy and his staff since Wednesday morning. A total of 70 teams are currently participating in these comprehensive searches, with the search operation expected to continue for three days. The primary focus of the investigation revolves around allegations suggesting that BRS Bhuvanagiri MLA Paila Shekhar Reddy has been acting as a benami in multiple companies, having investments in 15 firms. Consequently, both the MLA's residence and offices are currently being subjected to meticulous examination. Furthermore, the IT raids extend beyond Hyderabad, reaching the offices located in Bangalore as well. Notably, Paila Shekhar Reddy, a director of various real estate companies, is under scrutiny in relation to these searches.
