Ramya asserts that the movie seeks to malign her character and is pursuing a legal course of action to inhibit its premiere. 'Malli Pelli,' featuring Naresh and Pavitra Lokesh, has stoked considerable curiosity among the audience, heightened by the recent public interest in the real-life couple. But just a day shy of its slated May 26 release, the film has hit a considerable snag as Ramya Raghupathi instigated legal proceedings against it. Raghupathi asserts that 'Malli Pelli' explores the personal narratives of Naresh, Pavitra, and herself too closely for coincidence.
