Prominent mining tycoon, Gali Janardhan Reddy, has staged a remarkable political comeback by securing a seat in the Karnataka Assembly. This time, he enters as a Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) representing the Kalyana Rajya Pragathi Paksha (KRPP). Gali Janardhan Reddy, who had distanced himself from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and active politics for more than 12 years, established KRPP a few months ago and contested from Gangawati, while his wife, Gali Lakshmi Aruna, vied for victory in Bellary City. In a significant triumph, Gali Janardhan Reddy emerged victorious in the election, while his wife secured the second position in Bellary City. Defeating Iqbal Ansari of the Congress Party by a substantial margin of 8,266 votes in Gangawati, Gali Janardhan Reddy sealed his return to the political arena.
