In the latest development concerning the murder case of the late minister, Vivekananda Reddy, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has submitted a key piece of evidence - a diary - to the court during the bail plea hearing of Gajjala Uday Kumar Reddy, a prime suspect in the case. The prosecuting agency contended that should bail be granted to Uday Kumar Reddy, there exists a substantial risk of him manipulating potential witnesses. The court was further briefed that Uday Kumar Reddy was apprehended only after gathering considerable evidence implicating his involvement in the high-profile murder. In response to this, the CBI lodged a counter-affidavit to oppose his bail application.
