Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has launched a new initiative called "multi-city ticket booking" to offer hassle-free travel to passengers covering long distances. Under this initiative, passengers can travel in two buses with a layover facility at one bus station by purchasing a multi-city ticket from the starting point of their journey. For instance, if a passenger is traveling from Srikakulam to Anantapur, they can take two RTC buses without any additional charges by using a multi-city ticket. Moreover, passengers can even take a break in the middle of their journey and resume the trip in another RTC bus using the same ticket. The minimum layover time at the changeover location is 2 hours, while the maximum is 22 hours. Initially launched on 137 routes, the APSRTC plans to expand the multi-city ticketing system to all routes in response to public demand.
