The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has summoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to appear for questioning on Sunday, April 16, in connection with the Delhi excise policy case. This summons follows the recent arrest of AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, as well as other arrests made by investigators in the same investigation. This marks the first time that Kejriwal has been summoned by the CBI in this case, despite claims made by the BJP that he was the mastermind behind the alleged fraud. In addition to this, the Goa Police have also summoned Kejriwal to appear for questioning on April 27 in relation to an alleged defacement of public property. In response to these developments, Kejriwal has stated that all AAP leaders must be prepared to face jail time, as the Election Commission has formally recognized the party as a national party.
