The Cyberabad police have made a significant breakthrough in cracking down on illegal IPL cricket betting by arresting 10 bookies in a raid on a house in Bachupally. The arrests were made during the recent IPL match between RCB and Lucknow SuperGiants. According to Cyberabad Police Commissioner, Stephen Ravindra, the SOT Balanagar Zone and Bachupally team of Cyberabad Police Commissionerate had been keeping a close eye on the illegal activities of cricket betting rackets. Acting on credible information, they carried out a joint raid on a house in Sai Anurag Colony in Bachupally. During the operation, 10 bookies were apprehended and a total of Rs 60.39 lakh in cash was seized. Additionally, the value of online cash, property seized, and the amount in the bank accounts of the accused have led to a total value of the case property to be around Rs 1 crore.
