New Delhi: The YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case saw a major development today as the Supreme Court expressed its displeasure over the CBI's handling of the case and ordered the immediate replacement of the investigating officer. The order was issued during the hearing of Tulasamma's petition, the wife of accused Sivashankar Reddy. The court expressed frustration over the lack of progress in the case and instructed the CBI to expedite the investigation. Justice MR Shah directed the CBI to replace the current investigating officer, Ram Singh. The court also noted that the political reasons cited in the status report were insufficient to identify the culprits. The hearing has been adjourned until the 10th of next month.
