LIVE: Chandrababu Condemns Attack on Dalit MLA in Assembly
The national president of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), N. Chandrababu Naidu, has accused the ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh of attacking a TDP MLA in the state assembly on the orders of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu claimed that the attack on Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy, a Dalit MLA, was pre-planned and that the Chief Minister had encouraged it.
The TDP staged a protest in the assembly, demanding the withdrawal of an order that restricts public meetings on roads, leading to the attack on the MLA. Both parties have blamed each other for the incident.
