YSRCP Narsaraopeta MLA, Gopireddy Srinivas Reddy, has found himself in hot water after a recent incident involving a YCP activist named Bhaskar Reddy. At a public event, Bhaskar Reddy played a Balakrishna film song which infuriated the MLA, leading to him verbally abusing and harassing the young man. In a tragic turn of events, Bhaskar Reddy attempted suicide near the MLA's house citing unbearable torture by the MLA and his men. Upon hearing about the incident, actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna expressed his displeasure with the MLA's behavior and issued a stern warning. Balakrishna questioned the MLA's belief that people were his slaves and stated that as a cinema hero, his songs are enjoyed by all sections of society. He warned the MLA that if his behavior towards those who play his songs continued, he would face the consequences.
